WHAT WE BELIEVE
As part of our community South Port UnitingCare is committed to work in ways that strengthen and support the whole community.

Sometimes this is done quietly, standing beside individuals and families. At other times we work with groups, finding ways to address needs and link and connect people. We also work in more public settings, advocating for marginalised groups and making a stand on important community issues. These beliefs are reflected in our Vision and Mission statements.
OUR HISTORY
SouthPort UnitingCare
We are part of a history of over 150 years of worship and witness in the South and Port Melbourne and Albert and Middle Park area. We used to be known as South-Port-Parks Parish Mission.

In 2005 we had a restructure as part of the Uniting Church in Australia's initiative to bring the church's community service activities under one umbrella known collectively as UnitingCare in Australia.

We now have two parts - South Port Uniting Church, covering the congregations and worship, and South Port UnitingCare, which oversees community programs. The two organisations have a shared vision and are interconnected and linked.

WHERE WE WORK
We mainly focus on the South and Port Melbourne and Albert and Middle Park areas. Some of our services also include people from other parts of the City of Port Phillip.

While our office is next to the Uniting Church in Dorcas Street, South Melbourne our programs run in different locations around the area.
